Aromabar, an esteemed aromatherapy products brand, was the brainchild of Cathy Grant, who lived in Barrhead, Glasgow with her husband and daughter.
The business started in a cupboard in their flat, much to the dismay of Cathy’s husband, Alan, and over 13 years grew into the booming aromatherapy products brand it is today. Cathy loved the idea of setting up her own business and began by selling sprigs of lucky white heather from the Scottish Highlands. However, it was her growing interest in aromatherapy that truly shaped the future of Aromabar. Inspired by a friend who was a qualified masseuse, Cathy became certified in making aromatic products that harnessed the natural benefits of essential oils.
Passionate about quality, Cathy ensured that all her products were crafted from 100% natural ingredients. Alan and their daughter, Stephanie, played a vital role in helping Cathy prepare products for their growing online clientele. The family’s dedication and hard work contributed to Aromabar’s reputation as a trusted aromatherapy products brand in the market.
As demand increased, the business moved out of their home and into its own dedicated building, allowing Cathy to expand her offerings even further. Family has always been at the core of Aromabar, with many members contributing to its success over the years, including Cathy’s two sisters.
Customers consistently commend the outstanding quality of Aromabar’s products and the fantastic service they receive. Unfortunately, Cathy passed away in 2021 after a battle with breast cancer. Now, her husband and co-director, Alan, continues to lead the business, sharing the same passion for providing natural aromatherapy products that Cathy instilled from the very beginning.
